The Spirit of Mexico series consists of 12 paintings – on watercolor paper, canvas, and wood panels. In the watercolor section, I have created “Love and Protection,” “Birds of Paradise,” “New Life,” I Love You to the Moon and Back” and “Young Love”. The work I placed on canvas includes “Swans,” and “Down the Rabbit Hole”
My love of using different mediums for my motifs led me to put three pieces of the series on wood panels: “Flowers for Cynthia,” “Frogs and Dogs for Lena,” and one quite dear to my heart, “Poppy Loves Ashleigh.”
I refer to my work as dreamscapes, and in this series, you will find life played out in loyal and loving relationships between man and nature. I use dogs to symbolize unconditional love, swans are a tribute to beauty and grace, and birds represent protection and survival.
My global view of this series of dreamscapes is a world where large and small creatures are protected. I employed flowers and dazzling colors to highlight our love for all of nature that blesses and beautifies our lives.
Take a long look through 12 works of The Mexican Spirit. Let the bold hues wash over you. Peak around at the images.
My hope is that each one brings you joy.
